Rest and Recover

While I was anxious to get out for a run or workout session, I knew a day of rest would be best for today.

So, my activities for today consisted of mowing the lawn, washing the car, picking up mom from the airport, hanging out with my girls at a 4-year old birthday party and sweating over the grill for dinner. I just enjoyed being a blessed husband and father today…what a great summer day!!

Be sure to schedule 1-2 days a week off for recovery (no running or strength training)…and enjoy it! That day of rest will not only fuel you for your next training session, but it will go a long way in preventing injury!
